The Unfinished Sympathy - Spin in the Rye

Artista: The Unfinished Sympathy
Album: We Push You Pull (2006)
Canción: Spin in the Rye

She lays on the grass
She still got to learn
It wasn't the rain what made her grow up
Just troubles and pain

A spin in the rye
A watering hole
As everytime I feel so alone
I dial your phone

And I seek in her eyes
And I see my very face
Who I am
It's cold in this lonely road to hell

You, you'd drive all night until you'd knock at my door
I left you standing in the pouring rain
I keep moving like a shark

And I can't deny
The pleasure is mine
When all of the blood I'm spilling around
Sounds like lullaby

But I get shy
When I should say "no"
Your flesh is a feast that turns me on
My values are gone

And I seek in her eyes
And I see my very face
Who I am
It's cold in this lonely road to hell

You, you'd drive all night until you'd knock at my door
I left you standing in the pouring rain
I keep moving like a shark

You, you'd drive all night until you'd knock at my door
I left you standing like a fool in the rain
I keep moving like a shark

I'm mad and on the run
Killing for fun
I'm coming out of hiding when my victim's closer
Again you will rely
On how I justify
Our reasons for intimacy are barely human

[x3+Chorus]

Pendulum - Witchcraft

Artista: Pendulum
Album: Immersion (2010)
Canción: Witchcraft

It’s in your eyes, a colour fade out
Looks like a new transition
It starting up and shaking your ground
Turning your head to see a new day calling

Does it feel like a head to lean on?
A snapshot from where you were born
I’m looking for your hand in the rough
You’re caught in the wire
Well, I’ll lift you out

Leading on the action
Caught in a cell phones' rays
Bleeding on the sofa
Staring at the wayside
He’s coming and she knows it
Even though she knows why
Footsteps in the hallway
Girl you haven’t got time

You gotta get out
Go far away
[x2]

Darkness in the bedroom
Maybe she's resting up
Maybe she was out late
Just come back from the club
I can’t hear her breathing
Something doesn’t seem right
Killer in the hallway
We’re living on a set time

We gotta get out
Go far away
[x2]

Moving On

Nothing can keep my mind from that.

Ani DiFranco - Gravel

Artista: Ani DiFranco
Album: Little Plastic Castle (1998)
Canción: Gravel

I heard the sound of your bike
as your wheels hit the gravel
and your engine in the driveway, cutting off
I pushed through the screen door
and I stood out on the porch
thinking fight, fight, fight, at all costs

But instead I let you in
just like I've always done
I sat you down and offered you a beer
and across the kitchen table
I fired several rounds
but you were still sitting there when the smoke cleared

You came crawling back to say
that you want to make good in the end
oh, let me count the ways that I abhor you
you were never a good lay
and you never were a good friend
but oh, what can I say, I adore you

All I need is my leather
one t-shirt and two socks
I'll keep my hands warm in your pockets
and you can use the engine blocks
we'll ride out to California
with my arms around your chest
and i'll pretend this is real
cuz this is what I like best

You've been juggling two women
like a stupid circus clown
telling us both we are the one
and maybe you can keep me
from ever being happy
but you're not going to stop me
from having fun

So let's go, before I change my mind
I'll leave the luggage of all your lies behind
cuz I am bigger than everything that came before
you were never very kind
and you let me way down every time
but oh, what can I say, I adore you

I heard the sound of your bike
as your wheels hit the gravel
and your engine in the driveway, cutting off

PS: Oooh... oh, oh, oh... oh, oh, oh... oh, oooh...
